Anunay Sood, a popular travel influencer based in Dubai, has died while working in Las Vegas, his family confirmed Thursday.

According to Arab News, the 32-year-old content creator was on an all-expense-paid trip from which he was set to return home next Tuesday.

“It is with deep sadness that we share the news of our beloved Anunay Sood’s passing,” his family wrote on his Instagram page. “We kindly ask for your understanding and privacy as we navigate this difficult time. We humbly request you to avoid gathering crowd near personal property. Please keep his family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers. May his soul rest in peace.”

Sood — known for his stunning travel photography and videography and love of exploration — amassed 1.4 million followers on Instagram and 387,000 on YouTube.

He was one of Forbes India’s “Top 100 Digital Stars” every year from 2022 to 2024.

Sood was born in India and built his career and audience there, relocating to Dubai in the early 2020s to expand his business and launch a digital marketing agency.

He traveled to more than 40 countries and collaborated with top tourism boards around the globe, including Switzerland Tourism, Visit Saudi and the New Zealand Tourism Board, as well as brands including OPPO and Airtel.

“Still can’t process this,” read a comment from fellow travel influencer Aakash Malhotra. “You lived with so much passion, heart, and adventure, brother. Rest in peace, Anunay. You’ll be missed deeply.”

Sood’s final Instagram post went up Tuesday from Wynn Las Vegas, where he was attending the annual Las Vegas Concours d’Elegance, a luxury car show.

“Still can’t believe I spent the weekend surrounded by legends and dream machines,” he wrote.

No details about his death were released.
