Troy Franklin (+180)
Troy Franklin has quickly burst onto the scene as Denver’s WR2 and had his true breakout in Week 8 where he went for 89 yards and two touchdowns. Franklin gets a layup matchup tonight against a Raiders secondary that has struggled all season long.
The up-and-coming wide receiver continues to trend upwards as teams continue to pay a lot of attention to Courtland Sutton. The odds are simply too good to pass up here on Franklin to beat the Raiders in what is likely to be single coverage.
RJ Harvey (+205)
RJ Harvey is another up-and-coming piece of the Broncos offense that has been seeing an uptick in involvement in recent weeks. While J.K. Dobbins remains the lead running back in Denver, Harvey still sees his fair share of work, particularly in the passing game. A rookie out of UCF, Harvey has had some massive games, including a Week 8 outburst where he had three touchdowns.
The Broncos are 9.5-point favorites in Thursday Night Football, and in previous games where the Broncos have taken massive leads, Harvey has gotten even more volume. Essentially, Broncos head coach Sean Payton views him as the go-to back to finish games. Expect Harvey to see a ton of touches in a positive game script and get himself a touchdown in the process.
Tre Tucker (+350)
Tre Tucker has mostly operated as the WR1 for the Raiders this season, even if Jakobi Meyers was the more well-known name. Star tight end Brock Bowers is back in action after missing multiple weeks, so he is now the primary target for quarterback Geno Smith. However, with Meyers being traded at the deadline a few days ago, Tucker’s target share should increase pretty massively.
The Broncos’ defense is arguably the best in the NFL, and most of that stems from their pass rush and secondary. However, the Broncos are without their star cornerback Patrick Surtain II for a second consecutive game. Expect this to open up Tucker for some deep shots in a trailing game script. At +350 odds, this seems like a worthwhile dart throw.
