The European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) is delighted to announce the launch of its new European Safer Gambling Week website, which offers player support resources, an up-to-date event schedule, and practical tips for safer gambling.

EGBA Launches Its New Online Platform for Safer Gambling

EGBA’s announcement comes just before this year’s European Safer Gambling Week. This annual pan-European initiative, organized by the EGBA, aims to raise awareness of safer gambling and strengthen a culture of player protection. Launched in 2021, it unites a wide range of stakeholders from across Europe’s gambling sector in a shared commitment to promoting safe and sustainable play. The 2025 edition will be held from 17–23 November.

EGBA’s new website acts as a central hub for the initiative, providing key information and valuable resources for both players and industry stakeholders. It includes several dedicated sections designed to promote player protection and encourage wider participation. One of its main features is a comprehensive help page featuring helplines and support services across European countries, including contact details for national helplines and self-exclusion systems. Players can easily access confidential assistance in their local language.

The website also includes an expanding schedule of conferences, workshops, and webinars taking place throughout the week, addressing important topics related to player protection. Stakeholders can register for events and explore the full program online.

Last, but not least, EGBA’s new website also includes a page offering tips for safer gambling. There, players can see guides including how to recognize warning signs, maintain control, and apply the core safer gambling messages that underpin this year’s initiative.

What Is EGBA’s Mission?

EGBA is a Brussels-based trade association representing leading online gambling operators that are established, licensed, and regulated within the EU. The organization works closely with national and EU authorities, as well as other stakeholders, to promote a well-regulated online gambling market that upholds high standards of consumer protection while reflecting the realities of the digital environment and evolving player preferences. As part of its dedication to safer gambling, EGBA organizes and coordinates the previously-mentioned European Safer Gambling Week, uniting industry stakeholders to encourage safe and sustainable play.

Operators, regulators, support organizations, trade associations, technology providers, and other industry stakeholders are invited to take part in ESGW25. Campaign materials are available in 27 languages and can be requested via the website. Last year’s edition united 195 organizations from 26 countries, reaching over 3.1 million people with key safer gambling messages through a coordinated social media campaign, educational events, and cross-sector collaboration.
