LeoVegas Group has bolstered its senior team with four new additions from Flutter Entertainment’s Sky Betting & Gaming (SBG) brand, as it seeks to grow its presence in the UK and Ireland (UKI).
The quartet’s arrival comes after former Sky Bet trading chief Andy Wright was appointed as UKI managing director this month.
James Derbyshire arrives as the new UKI sports director having spent six years with SBG between October 2019 and October 2025 in several roles, including commercial director of sports and head of commercial of sports.
Thomas Burr joins as head of sports after almost 11 years at SBG, where he held multiple positions after joining in March 2015.
His last role before leaving was head of commercial marketing for Sky Bet.
Andrew Kerr, who previously worked for LeoVegas Group from October 2017 to December 2019, returns to the business after spending the last six years with Flutter. He will serve as gaming director.
Lastly, Katherine Green-Arnanz makes the switch to the operator as a strategic initiatives manager.
She spent the last seven years with SBG in several marketing roles, including commercial marketing manager for football.
Wright said:“We’re delighted to add the incredibly experienced quartet of James, Tom, Katherine and Andrew to our team as we continue to grow our UK and Ireland presence through our hero brands BetMGM and LeoVegas, along with our other local champion brands.”
The addition of the quartet comes after LeoVegas promoted Sam Leggott from head of gaming to director of gaming operations in October.
LeoVegas Group operates several brands in the UK alongside BetMGM and LeoVegas, including Pink Casino, BetUK and Slot Boss.
