LEBOM has launched a new funding round with Republic, a crowdfunding platform that allows members of the public to invest in startups.

The football predictor platform has not disclosed how much it is expecting to raise in the round.

However, bosses said that capital would be used accelerate “product innovation and growth” as part of LEBOM’s aim to become the “UK’s leader in peer-to-peer football betting”.

The Republic platform currently has the option to sign up to priority access for LEBOM’s funding round.

Republic has 423 investment opportunities on its site and has facilitated the funding of more than 2,400 deals.

Popular entities to have listed on Republic in the past include English football club AFC Wimbledon, grocery delivery service OddBox and fintech firm Revolut.

The launch of the funding round comes after LEBOM reached 88,000 active users, along with 32,000 new users joining the platform in the first 10 weeks of the 2025-26 Premier League season.

The company said £4.6m has been exchanged on the platform to date, while also noting an 87% retention rate among customers.

Earlier this year, former Chelsea and England captain John Terry joined LEBOM as a shareholder and brand ambassador.

The platform allows for groups of friends to bet low stakes against each other. There are plans to open up a global league format with larger shared prize pools.

Chris Ricketts, LEBOM CEO, said: “We’ve had an incredible start to the season – it’s fantastic to see so many players buy into our idea of betting being about community and banter with mates rather than chasing losses against the traditional bookmakers.

“The growth we’ve seen over the past few seasons proves to us that fans want a change – something fun, social, community-driven and more responsible.

“Our latest funding round will enable us to scale LEBOM further, enhance the product and expand our footprint on the global stage as we look to build on the rapid success we’ve seen so far.”

EGR spoke to Ricketts earlier this year to look under the hood of LEBOM’s strategy and its plans for the future.
