Danske Spil subsidiary Danske Licens Spil has announced an agreement with GGPoker which will see Danish players have access to its international poker network.

Coming on the back of GGPoker securing a Danish supplier licence, the deal will allow poker players to gain access to qualify for events and compete in the supplier’s online tournaments.

Access to World Series of Poker Online gold bracelet series and live WSOP satellite tournaments also forms part of the deal.

They will also be able to play cash games and “innovative game formats”, according to the supplier.

In August 2024, GGPoker added Middle Eastern poker platform PokerArabia to its platform.

Earlier this month, lawyer Morten Ronde told EGR that the Danish market was losing the battle against offshore operators.
