The opening of the lounge at Chances Casino Terrace marks the first of its kind in the Skeena region, in the northwestern portion of the province, on the North Pacific Ocean, and is the sixth Proline lounge to open in British Columbia.

The lounge features an 18-foot multi-view screen broadcasting multiple games, and three self-service betting terminals for single bets, parlays and live in-game betting action.

Live Betting With Multiple Screens

“We’re proud to bring this exciting experience to Terrace and continue expanding our Proline Sportsbooks offerings across the province,” said Dan Beebe, BCLC’s Chief Operating Officer.

The grand opening is today from noon to 9 p.m. PST, where attendees have a chance to win prizes including a trip to Vancouver to watch the Canucks against the Edmonton Oilers on Jan. 17, including tickets to the game, hotel, $500 Uber gift card and two $500 Visa gift cards.

The five other loungers are at Parq Casino in Vancouver, Chances Kelowna, Chances Maple Ridge, Casino of the Rockies in Cranbrook, and Chances Casino Fort St. John.

Proline, the digitized sports betting platform in the province, replaced Sports Action in 2024, and is the only place where B.C. residents can go bet on sports or gamble online legally.

The Roughriders are favoured at Proline, with the ML at -208, with the Alouettes at +140.

Ontario Market Shrinks to 48 Operators

As reported first in Canadian Gaming Business, the licensed Ontario igaming market is now down to 48 licensed operators, and 82 gaming websites, with the news that Betiton has closed its doors.

Aristocrat Interactive, part of Aristocrat Interactive’s online Real Money Gaming division, announced the launch of Betiton in Ontario just last January through its iGaming White-Label package, the fourth market that Betiton had entered using Aristocrat’s technology. The White-Label solution includes a robust casino platform featuring exclusive content from Roxor Gaming, with additional content from Wizard Games.

The MagicBrand platform also was using the Aristocrat White-Label package, and had been launched in Ontario earlier. Both platforms have been shut down.
