In past years, the gambling industry’s finest gathered in Secaucus, New Jersey, around this time of year for the annual SBC Summit Americas conference. This year, the conference is in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, a move that can be seen as a positive development on three fronts:
- It’s been raining in Jersey all week, whereas the Florida weather has been a delight.
- This location offers ease of access from Latin America, a major element of this conference.
- The Broward County Convention Center is roomy AF, meaning it feels less crowded — and you get your steps in traversing the floor.
Here’s a sampling of the sights at the conference for those unable to attend.
A visually ugly photo to start, but an important one: the map of the room
A more creative photo: a 360 panorama from the center of the room
No shortage of bright lights and colors on the exhibition floor
White Hat Gaming went with a beach theme (not real sand, just a carpet made to look like sand)
What kind of gaming conference doesn’t have wheels and prizes?
One of the countless panels running throughout the day — this one about sweepstakes
A necessity at any industry conference: booze
By early afternoon Wednesday, the bar was packed
Whoever “Trev” is, he’s met a bunch of famous people
Yeah, we have no idea what’s happening here either
This conference came complete with a batting cage, hoop, and hockey net (not in use in this photo because, of course, all conference attendees were busy working)The post Photo Essay: The SBC Summit Scene appeared first on Casino Reports.
