Though Snoqualmie Casino is a 30-minute drive from Seattle, the bond between the casino and the Seattle Seahawks defies the distance.
This week, the casino announced it has renewed its partnership with the Seahawks, extending a contract that started in 2018. The news comes as the tribal casino is in the middle of an expansion project that will include a hotel and concert venue.
Seahawks Vice President of Corporate Partnerships Lisa Young said in a Snoqualmie Casino press release about the partnership:
“We congratulate Snoqualmie Casino as they celebrate 15 years and an exciting expansion project, and look forward to continuing our long-term partnership together for years to come.”
Partnership renewal comes after landmark deal in 2018
While the repeal of the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act in 2018 is most famous for opening the floodgates of sports betting in the United States, one of its lesser-known impacts is that it caused the NFL to update the league’s guidelines for relationships between casinos and franchises.
Included in that update was a new rule: teams could ink partnerships that allowed casinos to use team logos and branding. In November 2018, the Seahawks announced a partnership with Snoqualmie to use the team’s logos for advertising and on-site promotions.
It was the first deal of its kind for the Seahawks and is only one of seven deals like it in the country. That partnership will continue, presumably, for at least another five years.

Casino’s expansion project to cost an estimated $400 million
Snoqualmie kicked off its expansion project in July 2022 and plans to complete construction by the end of next year. The expansion, which is slated to cost $400 million, will include the following upgrades :

210-room luxury hotel
11,000 square feet of additional gaming space
Full-service spa
Fitness center
Indoor pool
2,000-seat entertainment and convention center
A parking structure
Two new restaurants

When the project was announced in May 2022. Then-Tribe Chairman Robert de los Angeles highlighted how the expansion would help the Snoqualmie Tribe .
“With our sovereignty recognized, we have continued to strengthen and preserve our cultural traditions, protecting our sacred places, healing our ancestral lands, and establishing enterprises that allow our Tribe to provide our families with education, health care, and housing while also giving back to the community,” de los Angeles said.
