Spider-Man 2 – is £60 still too much for the sequel? (Picture: Sony)
If you think Sony is charging too much for Spider-Man 2, you may be interested in the special offer Currys is running.
Despite all the excitement surrounding the launch of Spider-Man 2, there’s contention regarding its length and pricing. While Sony is charging £70 for it, like all its other first party PlayStation 5 games, Spider-Man 2’s main story takes less than 20 hours to complete , with the Platinum trophy requiring roughly 30 hours.
It took us about 25 hours to beat the story and around half the side missions, although if you read our review you’ll know that we found the shorter length to be beneficial and helped Spider-Man 2 avoid the same bloated storytelling that the original PlayStation 4 game suffered from.
If you don’t think Spider-Man 2’s length warrants the £70 price tag, however, there is one UK retailer that is offering pre-orders at a discount; one that knocks the price down to just under £60.
It can be easy to miss but over on Currys website it has a special offer that adds a 15% discount to Spider-Man 2, making it cost exactly £59.49.
That’s still roughly £10 more than its predecessor (which costs £49.99 on Sony’s digital storefront), but that newer price may be more enticing for those who think £70 is too much.
If you’re one of those people, what you need to do when purchasing the game is input a discount code – WEBSLINGER15 – when Currys asks for your payment methods.
Be sure to input the code or you’re paying full price (Picture: Currys)
Above the section where you choose your payment method should be a drop-down menu for adding discount/promo codes. Click on that and add the aforementioned code to take money off the full order.

You don’t need an account with Currys to take advantage of the offer and you don’t need to pay any extra for delivery.
This appears to be the best offer around since most places are selling it at full price. We did spot a £62.99 price tag at HMV , and The Game Collection is offering it for £64.95, but you should only fall back on those if Currys winds up selling out.
