Showcasing the game’s enhanced character customisation system, Blizzard developers have revealed their favourite builds in Diablo 4 .



Despite Diablo 4 ’s addition of an open world, character creation and the journey to becoming stronger through acquiring loot and levelling up remain integral parts of the gameplay experience. 



In this new sequel, customisation takes on an even more substantial role, allowing you to not only design your character’s appearance but delve into extensive skill trees tailored for each of the five starting classes. 



It can become a bit overwhelming for first time players but the developers working on the game have shared their favourite builds, which allows for some valuable insight.



Once you boot up the game, you have to choose from five different classes: Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Rogue, and Sorcerer.



Diablo 4’s game director, Joe Shely, chose the Frost Sorcerer build for its freeze mechanic, which offers a clever way to counter monster death mechanics, by neutralising explosions. 



Playing as a Frost Sorcerer grants you enhanced control over the battlefield, providing strategic opportunities to avoid taking fatal damage. 



Lead class designer Adam Z. Jackson had a hard time choosing just one but he ultimately landed on the Elemental Druid build, as reported by PCGames .



He was particularly fond of the tornado skill, which, when levelled up sufficiently, can be unleashed multiple times, causing utter havoc and destruction. 



Melissa Corning, the lead game producer, shared a similar perspective, highlighting the Frozen Orb Sorcerer as her top pick. 



The ability to manipulate battles by freezing enemies is not only incredibly powerful, but Corning also teased the existence of additional legendary items that further enhance this skill. 



Last but not least, Ash S. Vickey, the dungeon producer for Diablo 4, honed in on builds that pack a punch from long range, putting the spotlight on the Hydra Fireball build for Sorcerers, as well as the Rapid Fire Rogue. 



Diablo 4 is out on Tuesday, June 6, on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Battle.net.
