Like many other gaming fans, top Twitch streamer xQc wasn’t too impressed with the range of games revealed at the PlayStation Showcase.  



There was a sense of letdown among many fans, specifically regarding the lack of exciting Sony announcements, at the recent PlayStation Showcase , which happened on Wednesday night.



While xQc has been known to stir up controversy, notably with his harsh criticism of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom , this time his viewers seem to agree with his take on last night’s show. 



After checking out the trailer for Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the popular content creator boldly stated that the gaming world had hit a major ‘wall’ that is now ‘incredibly difficult to breach.’ 



Placed around the middle of the showcase, the upcoming Assassin’s Creed release proved to be the final straw for xQc. 



The streamer went off on a rant, claiming that a lot of games, especially popular ones, have started to feel like more of the same, featuring massive maps, quests, and similar gameplay mechanics that lack innovation. 



The conversation kept going, with xQc offering his thoughts on how high-profile games can truly stand out in the competitive landscape. 



He brought up Dark And Darker (no, we’ve never heard of it before either), praising its fresh concept that introduces a fusion of first person dungeon crawling and the adrenaline-fueled action of a battle royale. 



‘There are small studios, there are small things. But who cares what the execution is? Because the concept is good,’ the streamer added. 



xQc also made the claim that major franchises are hesitant to take risks and venture into uncharted territory with their long-standing concepts, fearing the potential consequences. 



Mentioning Dark And Darker once more, the streamer said that there are countless indie gems, that if they were given top notch treatment in terms of execution, they could explode in popularity. 



Most of his viewers, seemed to agree with xQc’s opinions, stating they were tired of seeing games with the same look ‘over and over again.’ 



Others simply suggested he tries out older games or ones that haven’t received much attention, instead of focusing on new releases.
