You may have been disappointed at the lack of first party exclusives in the PlayStation Showcase but Microsoft certainly weren’t…



It’s hard not to be disappointed at Wednesday night’s PlayStation Showcase . Although there were plenty of interesting looking games there was no megaton new announcement and almost no first party games made by Sony themselves, which means that most of them are also going to be available for Xbox .



Naturally, Sony didn’t advertise this fact, but Microsoft certainly has.



Less than an hour after the showcase ended the Xbox Twitter account posted a graphic highlighting the fact that games including Immortals Of Aveum , Ghost Runner 2, Marathon , Metal Gear Solid Delta, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Alan Wake 2, The Plucky Squire, Teardown, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Neva, Cat Quest: Pirates Of The Purribean, and The Talos Principle 2 are all going to be available on Xbox and PC.



There’s a possibility that some of these games may have some kind of PlayStation exclusive content but that wasn’t mentioned and there was certainly no indication that any of them are timed exclusives.



The only first party games that were featured, were Spider-Man 2 and multiplayer-only games Fairgame$ and Helldivers 2 (although the latter is also on PC).



Although it’s not published or developed by Sony, Final Fantasy 16 is also a PlayStation 5 exclusive and so too is multiplayer shooter Foamstars – which is also on PlayStation 4 and so far has had a rocky reception for being such a laughably blatant Splatoon clone.

We know for a fact that Sony has many more first party exclusives in development, simply because there are so many developers that haven’t confirmed what they’re working on at the moment, including Santa Monica Studio, Bluepoint, Guerrilla Games, Sony Bend, Media Molecule, Housemarque, and Firesprite.



That’s in addition to games we know are in development but which Sony chose not to show at the Showcase, including The Last Of Us multiplayer spin-off, a Twisted Metal reboot, Ghost Of Tsushima 2, and a new Astro Bot game.



Why Sony didn’t show any of these is a mystery, but all eyes will now be on Microsoft’s Xbox Games Showcase on June 11. We know they’ll be talking about Starfield a lot, which is an Xbox and PC exclusive, but how many other exclusives they’ll show is unknown.



But it could hardly be less than Sony managed.
