A new Persona reveal may just be hours away (pic: Atlus)



Another source claims that Persona 6 will be unveiled at the PlayStation Showcase on Wednesday but it may not be an exclusive forever.



With the PlayStation Showcase due to take place at 9pm on Wednesday fans are trying to predict exactly what Sony are going to show. Spider-Man 2 seems a given, and at this point it would be a surprise if Metal Gear Solid 3 wasn’t mentioned, but what else might be part of it?



Sony has a whole bunch of live service games it still hasn’t announced but one leaker thinks that Persona 6 could be one of the reveals.



It’s not the first time someone has suggested a Persona 6 (and Persona 3 remake) reveal this summer, but the latest rumour goes into more detail and suggests that the game is aiming for a launch of late 2024.



It’s also predicted that the game will launch as a PlayStation 5 exclusive, with no PlayStation 4 version. That may not seem surprising, but Atlus usually keeps support for the previous generation of consoles long after everyone else has moved on, as happened with Persona 4 and 5.



That could mean that Atlus is planning for a more technologically advanced game than previous titles which, while having stylish presentation, have never had very complex visuals.



The new rumours come from Nate the Hate, who has proven accurate about release dates in the past and whose comments line-up perfectly with those from other sources.



That means either everyone is copying each other or the rumours are actually true. Especially as Nate the Hate also predicts that the Persona 3 remake will be multiformat and will be unveiled at the Xbox Games Showcase on June 11.



He suggests that Persona 6 will likely only be a timed PlayStation 5 exclusive and will probably come to Xbox and PC eventually, as happened recently with previous Persona games.



It’s not long till we find out for sure but given multiple, sperate sources are saying the same thing it’s now looking very likely we’ll get at least a glimpse at Persona 6 tomorrow.
