Nintendo restocks rare Zelda amiibo but Link from Tears Of The Kingdom is still sold out

Nintendo restocks rare Zelda amiibo but Link from Tears Of The Kingdom is still sold out

The Legend Of Zelda amiibo are back in stock in the UK and Ireland, conveniently timed for your new adventure in Tears Of The Kingdom.

Whether you’re an avid amiibo collector or inspired by Tears Of The Kingdom to start collecting, now is the perfect time to grab some of Nintendo’s highly detailed figurines.

Nintendo’s online store has restocked the entire Zelda range, and some highly sought-after amiibo are now available for just £12.99 – including characters from Twilight Princess, Majora’s Mark, and Skyward Sword, among other games.

Sadly, the Link amiibo from Tears Of The Kingdom remains unavailable but you can still claim some free in-game items by using amiibo from previous games.

Essentially, every Zelda-related amiibo is compatible with the game, usually rewarding you with a white and gold chest, alongside random materials like meat, fish, and mushrooms.

Sometimes you’ll get a drop of more useful rewards like paraglider fabrics, rare armour, swords, masks, and even Epona, Link’s trusted horse.

You can scan each amiibo once a day, but there’s no guarantee that you’ll get the fabric or any of the special items straight away.

A trick to get better rewards is to create a save file before scanning your amiibo, which will allow you to try over and over again until you get the desired items.

Non-Zelda amiibo do work in Tears Of The Kingdom, but you’ll only receive cooking ingredients and assorted materials – not any of the really good stuff.

Before you can scan your amiibo in Tears Of The Kingdom, you’ll need to enable amiibo functionality in the game.

This can be done in your + Button menu in the System tab, by going to the Options menu on the left of your screen – amiibo functionality is the first on the list.

You can also turn amiibos on or off from the main menu, before you start playing.

For dedicated fans of the Zelda series, pre-orders for the official Tears Of The Kingdom guidebook are also available now, ahead of its scheduled June release.
