It won’t take long before you find yourself desperate for more inventory space in Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom but there is an alternative.

After only a few hours of playing Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom , you will have amassed a vast collection of weapons, shields, and items. Naturally, you won’t want to leave anything behind, as you never know when you might run out.

However, if you don’t discover how to expand your inventory space quickly your adventure throughout Hyrule could end up becoming a frustrating experience.

Similar to Breath Of The Wild, you’ll need to visit a familiar plant-like creature called Hestu and exchange Korok seeds to gain additional inventory slots.

Where to find Hestu in Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom

From the moment you arrive in Hyrule, you’ll be able to encounter none other than Hestu himself, whom you can interact with right away.

In the early game, before finishing the Regional Phenomena main quest, Hestu can be found in Hyrule Ridge, southeast of Lindor’s Brow skyview tower.

Once you interact with him, you’ll be prompted to begin the Hestu’s Concerns side quest, for which Hestu will ask you to find his lost Korok seeds.

Gather some Korok seeds, take them to Hestu, and he’ll kindly expand your inventory space as a token of gratitude.

Once you finish Hestu’s Concerns and obtain your first inventory upgrade, Hestu will move to a new location based on a clue he provides.

If he mentions going to a place ‘with lots of people’ you can locate him at Lookout Landing from that point forward.

Alternatively, if he talks about going ‘somewhere to rest,’ you can find him in the centre of Korok Forest, near the Musanokir shrine.

Korok seeds are bestowed upon you for helping Koroks, small crying creatures that assign you with mini quests or puzzles. They can be found all around the map, with no rules or limitations on where they might appear.

Considering that Breath of the Wild featured around 900 Koroks, it’s safe to assume that Tears Of The Kingdom also has a similarly vast number scattered throughout Hyrule.

There’s also a recurring side quests where you have to help exhausted Koroks to get to their friends, indicated by a distant smoke signal, which usually involves creating some sort of cart or vehicle for them.

Here is an initial list of how much each upgrade will cost you during your first visits to Hestu:

Weapon stash: 1 Korok seed, 2 Korok seeds, 3 Korok seeds, 5 Korok seeds, for a total of 13 slots.

Bow stash: 1 Korok seed, 2 Korok seeds, 3 Korok seeds, for a total of eight slots

Shield stash: 1 Korok seed, 2 Korok seeds, 3 Korok seeds, for a total of seven slots

Increased inventory space, particularly for melee weapons, is invaluable, since there is no option to store them elsewhere. This allows you to carry special weapons such as axes for cutting down trees or rock hammers for destroying ore deposits, while still having enough room for your primary weapons.
