YouTube star PewDiePie has been hit with a Twitch ban after his channel got mysteriously re-activated to stream Trailer Park Boys.
Following his exclusive streaming deal with YouTube in 2020, fans were caught off guard by PewDiePie’s unexpected return to Twitch this year.
On March 21, a strange stream begun on PewDiePie’s Twitch channel, replaying his old videos alongside episodes of the Canadian comedy series Trailer Park Boys.
Although the reason for PewDiePie’s brief return to Twitch remains unknown – with many speculating it was a promotion of some sort – it didn’t last long.
His Twitch channel has received a ban, meaning that trying to reach him on the purple platform will leave you reading the generic ‘temporarily unavailable’ message.
With no official statement from either PewDiePie or Twitch, the reason for his ban remains unconfirmed, leading to widespread speculation about the possible cause.

Many fans suggested that the notorious ‘bridge incident’ was accidentally broadcast during the infinity stream, in which PewDiePie gets attacked on a bridge and shouts a racial slur.
Others claimed that it was the result of Twitch’s recent changes to its branded content policy, which now requires streamers to disclose all such content.

As the infinity stream on PewDiePie’s Twitch is replaying his old videos automatically, it’s likely that the sponsored segments were the ones to cause him trouble.
In addition to the cause of the ban, its duration has also been kept under wraps, meaning that it could last from a few days to a couple of weeks.
It’s also unclear whether PewDiePie is actually ever coming back to Twitch in person, and if not why he bothered restarting his channel in the first place.
Given his current focus on creating content for YouTube and impending fatherhood , addressing his Twitch ban doesn’t seem to be his primary concern right now.
