Creative use of photo mode for The Last Of Us Part 1 has offered a glimpse of what the game would look like from a first person perspective.

Go back a decade or so and first person games were the height of fashion, and yet nowadays they’re becoming relatively rare and third person games that previously might have had an optional first person view no longer bother.

The Last Of Us Part 1 certainly doesn’t, but you can mimic one by using the photo mode to catch key scenes from a different angle, which is exactly what one fan has done with a series of posts on Twitter.

They catch many of the most memorable moments from the game, so there’s actually major spoilers if you haven’t played it before – or haven’t watch the HBO TV adaptation.

Photo modes have become increasingly popular in recent years, with Sony in particular always making sure they at least add one with a post-launch update.

As Twitter user Ceraphyte demonstrates, they have a huge variety of filters and options to make the images look as artistic as possible.

Photo mode can also be very useful for picking up small background details, such as Joel’s age (he’s 52) and what may be a hint at Naughty Dog’s next game .

It’s not clear what version of the game Ceraphyte is using but it seems to be the new PC edition, despite widespread reports of numerous bugs and glitches .

Curiously, they claim to have been sent a copy of the game for free by Sony , despite Sony refusing to send the game to reviewers, with the PC version still not having a single critic review on Metacritic .

Naughty Dog has already issued one patch and have promised to fix the other issues. In what is the latest example of a big name game suffering from technical problems on the PC, that were not present in the original console version.
