The Amazon Spring Sale is better for video games than many of their more high profile events, if you’re looking for cheap physical copies.



Although they make a huge fuss about them, the last few Black Friday and Amazon Prime Day sales have been pretty poor for video games, with little in the way of major bargains – at least for anything you’d actually want.



The current Spring Sale is filled with a lot of third party peripherals that clearly aren’t selling, or they wouldn’t be in the sale in the first place, but there are some decent software deals in amongst them.



We recommend having a scour yourself but these are the deals that stood out to us, with many of them available across multiple formats. Plus, you might get them delivered in one of those cool Super Mario ? Block boxes .



There will also be lighting sales during the next few days, of items that are only cheap for a few hours until stock runs out, so it’s worth keeping an eye out for those too.

The best hardware deal is probably this official Xbox controller but there are also some small savings to be had on the Xbox Series S. It’s still too early to expect any price cuts on the Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5 though. Surpisingly, there don’t seem to be any Switch deals either.
