Twitch star Amouranth has explained how she secured her position as top female streamer, as others pushed the hot tub meta too far.



Pools, Hot Tubs, and Beaches is one of the most followed categories on Twitch, besides general gaming and Just Chatting streams. 



Amouranth is undoubtedly the most popular creator within that category, although from time to time she takes breaks from her bikini-wearing escapades to play Overwatch 2 or, most recently, Hogwarts Legacy .  



The path to internet fame hasn’t always been easy for the sexy streamer, as she reveals the creative methods she’s employed to eliminate her competition.  



In 2021 steamy streams were recording peak viewership, with JenFoxxUwU (better known as Indiefoxx at the time) being another popular creator. 



Indiefoxx and Amouranth didn’t seem to have the best relationship, though, as they were frequently throwing shade at each other claiming one was copying the other and vice versa. 



However, their online jabs came to an end when Indiefoxx lost her Twitch partnership and was eventually permanently banned from the platform for taking things too far. 



Reminiscing on these simpler days, Amouranth claimed she was the one who ‘baited’ Indiefoxx into doing very risky ‘ear-licking’ streams. 



‘I was one of the first to get banned and so was she. So, I pulled back from [ear-licking streams] and started making more safe content, but she kept going and pushing boundaries,’ Amouranth told Dexerto . 



Ear-licking streams was a popular trend amongst hot tub streamers at the time, where they sensuously licked their ASMR microphones.

Twitch quickly took action against these videos, as the platform decided they were not in line with its community guidelines. 



‘I guess you could say I baited her into a ban, but I was just trying to pull back,’ Amouranth explained. 



Although you won’t find Amouranth doing ear-licking streams on Twitch anymore, she continues to do ASMR broadcasts on her YouTube channel. 



After all, steamy content seems to be one of Amouranth’s most valuable sources of income, netting over £23 million on OnlyFans in the first half of 2022.
