Top streamers xQc , Adept and MoistCr1TiKaL are amongst those criticising Atrioc for buying fake nude photos of female creators.



Twitch streamer Atrioc has come under fire after it was revealed that he visited a pornographic website which sells deepfakes of fellow content creators. 



Such websites usually create and distribute these photos without the consent of the person pictured, and as deepfakes remain widely unregulated there’s not much victims can do about it. 



In this case, Atrioc was allegedly caught looking at inappropriate images of fellow streamers Pokimane, Maya Higa, and QTCinderella, after his viewers noticed an open tab on his browser leading to the deepfake website. 



He later posted a video in which he admitted to the situation and apologised to the women, alongside his wife. 



Atrioc also claimed it was a case of ‘morbid curiosity’, after recently taking an interest in artificial intelligence and deepfakes. 



Despite his apology, the situation quickly escalated as more and more viewers found out about the website and the inappropriate images started circulating on social media.

QTCinderella and Sweet Anita, whose face also appeared on the site, have since issued statements condemning Atrioc, the website, and everyone who chooses to buy such content. 



‘Being seen ‘naked’ against your will should not be a part of this job,’ QTCinderella tweeted . 



On the other hand, Sweet Anita talked about how despite making a conscious choice against going into sex work, someone still found a way to ‘solicit her body’ without her consent. 



Fellow streamer Adept, replied to Sweet Anita’s tweet offering kind words to any streamer affected by the situation. 



She also emphasised that these images are fakes and that ‘this is someone else’s perversion’.

Other streamers also shared that they’ve been through a similar experience, with Mayumi revealing she was only 17 years old when creeps started including her face in deepfakes. 



After reacting to Atrioc’s video on stream, xQc spoke against those who claim that deepfakes come with the territory of being a streamer or a public figure, as the women ‘didn’t ask for it’. 



He compared it to swatting and random people showing up to his house, as people have also used the same argument in those situations.

xQc also took this as an opportunity to apologise for when he ‘jokingly’ sniffed Pokimane’s chair through Twitch, when reacting to some of her content.   



‘It’s why that day I shouldn’t have made that joke… I get it, I don’t have an excuse for it. It was f***ing dumb,’ he said. 



Streamer MoistCr1TiKaL also quickly addressed the Atrioc situation while broadcasting live, after his viewers asked him to comment on it. 



‘Not a whole lot to talk about. I think the obvious thing is, everyone can recognise that it’s not good,’ he said. 



As many streamers have pointed out, although the body featured in the nude deepfakes doesn’t actually belong to the women pictured, their existence is still extremely disturbing. 



Celebrities are often the victims of this technology, with Billie Eilish , Selena Gomez, and Kim Kardashian’s faces being transplanted onto random bodies in deepfake porn videos.
