They indeed doubled it and passed it on (pic: TikTok/Metro.co.uk)
An Apex Legends player tried out the viral ‘double it and pass it on’ TikTok trend using shield batteries.
Asking strangers to participate in some sort of social experiment has become its own subcategory on TikTok, as creators move further and further away from simply posting dancing videos.
The majority of these videos consist of an interviewer cornering people on the street, but it seems they’re slowly starting to spread to video games.
One Twitch streamer, in particular, decided to test his fellow Apex Legends players and see who would be generous enough to ‘double it and pass it on’…
For the sake of the experiment, he used one of the game’s consumables which fully restore your shield, called shield batteries.
The streamer, named Anthony Romero, started out by approaching a nearby Crypto player and asking him whether he’d like to keep one shield battery or double it and pass it on to the next player.
The generous Crypto went with the second option, but it’s not like he lost much, as this item is pretty common to come across – unless you’re in the end game stage and in dire need of heals.
@ayy_tonyromero WOULD YOU TAKE THE SHIELD BATTERY
