Twitch stars xQc and Adept seem to be in the middle of a messy divorce according to some court documents that were recently made public.



After being in a relationship for a couple of years xQc and Adept went through a very public breakup in November 2022, that was broadcast live on Twitch. 



The couple were together for three years but there was rarely any talk of marriage, especially given xQc’s opposition to the concept.



However, what appears to be leaked divorce filing confirms that xQc and Adept were in fact married, in some way or another, between August 2020 and October 2022. 



Are xQc and Adept married?



Specifically, Adept’s petition for divorce is under the assumption of what is called common law marriage, with her lawyers tasked with proving that the couple meets the criteria for it.



Common law marriage is the idea that two people are married in all but name, despite never having formally registered the fact.



Supporting documents for the case highlight various demands from the parties involved, as well as some harshly worded statements about each other’s life.

YouTuber Henry Resilient, who’s examined the Kim Kardashian and Kanye West divorce, decided to dig through xQc and Adept’s case, and claims to have come across some interesting findings. 



He showed the full court documents which seemingly confirm that Samantha ‘Adept’ Lopez and Félix ‘xQc’ Lengyel’s marriage started back in 2020.   



Then in October 2022, their relationship formally ended, with Adept filing for a permanent injunction against xQc. 



Adept and xQc have restraining orders



Besides staying away from Adept, another demand in the injunction was for xQc to be barred from ‘discussing the litigation on any social network profile’, likely because she feared being harassed by his fans. 



Additional court documents suggest that the restraining order has been expanded to include similar instructions for Adept. 



Henry Resilient also revealed that Adept claimed that xQc ‘used his social engineering skills to destroy her image’ when later petitioning for a temporary restraining order.

Another part also mentions xQc’s McLaren, whose ownership the couple famously feuded over a few months ago. 



Adept claimed that xQc referred to the car as his to motivate his fans to harass her for claiming the opposite, despite both their names appearing on the title. 



What Adept thinks of NYYXXII



A few rows down Adept commented on xQc’s short lived relationship with fellow streamer NYYXXII, by calling her a ‘porn star’.  



NYYXXII appeared on xQc’s Twitch streams a few times, sparking dating rumours , as the couple were seen kissing and cuddling up to each other. 



She’s not the only streamer that Adept called out, as she also mentioned Destiny in a Motion for Enforcement document.

Specifically, Adept claimed that xQc encouraged Destiny to discuss the pending litigation publicly on his behalf. 



It’s likely that this back and forth will continue for a few months, especially given how public Adept and xQc’s lives are.



For the time being, there don’t appear to be any new court documents to further shed light on whether Adept’s claim was successful. 



It’s also unlikely that either of them will publicly speak on the matter, at least until the legal process is over.
