A leaked Ubisoft release schedule lists four separate mobile games for the 2023 – 2024 fiscal year, but no Star Wars .

We’re not even a month into 2023 and things are looking rather dire for Ubisoft, as it’s had to cancel multiple unannounced projects , its share price has tumbled, and it’s apparently struggled to find someone to buy it out.

Skull And Bones was also delayed (again) to an unspecified date, meaning Ubisoft now only has two major releases scheduled for 2023: Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora. Although neither have an exact date yet and the latter could still be pushed back to 2024 .

Things are unlikely to be so bad that Ubisoft has literally nothing else planned for the coming year though. In fact, according to a new leak, it has no less than 11 new games it wants to release by the end of its next fiscal year, barring any delays or development issues.

As a reminder, the next fiscal year begins this April and ends in March 2024. So, while the majority are likely aiming to be out in 2023, a couple could still not release until early next year.

Unsurprisingly, the aforementioned Assassin’s Creed and Avatar games are included, as well as Skull And Bones. If this list is accurate, though, it looks like Ubisoft will mostly be relying on free-to-play and mobile games.

The Division Heartland, The Division Resurgence, Rainbow Six Mobile, XDefiant, Assassin’s Creed Jade, and the Assassin’s Creed Netflix game are supposedly all scheduled to release within 12 months of each other.

With the reliance on established franchises the list is exactly what you’d expect from Ubisoft at this point, especially as it continues their obsession with free-to-play and live service games, despite none of them ever having been a hit before.

It’s certainly not the sort of line-up likely to excite core gamers though, with recent reports suggesting that much of the problems with cancellations and delays recently are due to Ubisoft’s being ‘not what gamers wanted’.

The list also mentions two unannounced titles, although both of them have been previously leaked: a VR Assassin’s Creed game called Assassin’s Creed Nexus and a sequel to racing game The Crew 2 , currently dubbed Project Orlando.

Ubisoft hasn’t acknowledged the leak, but it comes from Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson , a proven source of reliable information. He adds that Project Orlando should be announced in the coming months and that Assassin’s Creed Nexus will release for the Meta Quest 2.

Disappointingly, there’s no mention of the Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time remake, though that’s hardly surprising considering it switched developers last May , with development starting over from scratch.

Massive Entertainment’s Star Wars game isn’t included either, but that was always unlikely to release any time soon. With Massive also working on the Avatar game, it stands to reason that the Star Wars one will launch afterwards, perhaps in the 2025 fiscal year.

Even less surprising is the lack of Beyond Good & Evil 2. Given the lack of updates and long delays , you’d think it’d be among the cancelled projects but Ubisoft is still insisting it will come out.
