Activision has banned a toxic Call Of Duty player for threatening to sexually assault a Twitch streamer he thought was a ‘little girl’.
The Call Of Duty community is notorious for its toxicity, leading Activision to introduce a new filtering system in 2021, in a bid to make things better.
Although thousands of accounts have been banned to date, the issue is far from resolved, as trolls continue to find ways to slip through the cracks.
The online abuse often gets even worse when players realise that they have a woman on their team, which is what happened in the case of Twitch streamer Steffy Evans.
Steffy was playing Modern Warfare 2 while broadcasting live on TikTok, when she happened to document a fellow player make some disturbing comments.
The troll kept repeating he would like to rape Steffy and went into graphic detail about what he would do.
To make matters worse, the toxic player referred to the streamer as a ‘little girl’ and kept insisting that his comments weren’t a joke.

Steffy immediately reported the troll and then posted the interaction on social media , calling for Activision to take action against him.
Her post went viral shortly after and was met with immense support, especially by other women, who revealed they’ve suffered similar abuse.
Fellow streamer OfficialChika attached a clip from a Warzone 2 stream, where a group of trolls used the proximity chat and made similar threats against her.
I recently went through something similar
