PS5 UK stock: GAME pre-orders reportedly to open tomorrow

After the last batch quickly ran out, a PS5 stock tracker account is convinced that GAME is opening pre-orders again tomorrow.
Whenever new PlayStation 5 stock becomes available, it always feels like it will be an eternity until the next lot arrives. But, after some retailers released new stock only last week , it appears that it may be appearing more regularly for the time being.
According to a popular PlayStation 5 stock tracker account on Twitter, retailer GAME is expected to open pre-orders again as early as tomorrow, February 23, since it apparently has updated its website to say that the console will become available on March 8.
This comes only less than a week after the last lot of GAME stock. On one hand, this could be a sign that the PS5 is becoming more easily available, but GAME itself hasn’t confirmed the new stock and, therefore, there’s no indication of what time it will be available. Hopefully, GAME will do what it did last time and make pre-orders available in the early afternoon.
GAME has changed their release date to 8th March, which proves me correct with a 23rd March pre-order date. Iâve had two stock accounts shame me about this but I wonât give names, itâs sad they see this as a competition. Anyways, 10K-15K stock pre-order this Tuesday, good luck.ðª pic.twitter.com/fmRsB9kaBq — PS5 Stock UK (@PS5StockAlertUK) February 20, 2021
The account adds that between 10,000 and 15,000 units will be available, which sounds like a lot but given the console’s popularity, don’t be surprised if it all goes within moments.
Plus, scalpers continue to be a problem, using bots and other means to buy units in bulk and resell them at inflated prices. Several retailers have been criticised for not doing enough to prevent this from happening.
It also doesn’t help when the likes of Argos are making their stock available at 3am in the morning, meaning most people end up missing it and increasing the chances of scalpers getting their hands on them.

The same account is also claiming that Smyths will release new stock as well in March, either around March 5/6 or March 12/13, so if you miss out tomorrow, there will hopefully be another opportunity not too long after.
Smyths Toys have now changed their next restock date to March 2021. If they carry on with the 2 week restock duration, we can expect them to drop around 5th/6th March. If not, itâll be the week after around 12th/13th March. — PS5 Stock UK (@PS5StockAlertUK) February 19, 2021
