FIFA 21 scores third UK number one – Games charts 24 October

An easy win this week (pic: EA)

It’s a quiet week for the UK retail sales charts, as the Christmas rush and the launch of the next gen consoles loom.

Given how strange the year has been it’s hard to say whether there’s been a traditional summer games drought this year or not, but if there has been it officially ends this week with the release of Watch Dogs: Legion, The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope, and Pikmin 3 Deluxe.

After that is the next gen consoles but last week saw no major new releases, as FIFA 21 clung on to the top spot despite a 50% drop in sales.

There was one new entry in the top 40 though, with the physical edition of Cadence Of Hyrule: Crypt Of The Necrodancer appearing at number 37. Although technically a Zelda game it was already released digitally last year and has not been heavily promoted since.
