Ninja mocked for asking why football kickers miss kicks

Ninja seems to have a strange idea about how easy it is to play sports (pic: AFP)
Fortnite king Ninja has taken down a series of tweets asking why athletes miss kicks, after he was asked why Fortnite players miss shots.
He might be the most famous professional gamer in the world but when Ninja strays into other topics he can come out with some very odd things.
Over the weekend he offered the following thought on Twitter, which he later took down after everyone pointed out how stupid it is:
‘I’ll never understand how college and NFL football teams allow kickers that just… miss… kicks. I feel like there has to be pools of kickers in the USA that won’t miss simple kicks. Or snappers that won’t mess the snaps idk man it seems so SILLY. Would love opinions on this.’
He certainly did get opinions, with the most popular tweeted reply being this gem from Fortnite mobile content creator DuckyTheGamer:

I'll never understand how pro fortnite players just… miss shots. I feel like there has to be pools of pro players who can just click on their heads and hit every shot with 100% accuracy, just seems so SILLY.

As he tends to do, Ninja then doubled down on his initial tweet, with another gem he later had to delete:
‘This is the s***tiest reply ever. Fortnite requires movement, editing, building, rotating, and hitting shots. There are not “positions” in Fortnite. A kickers [sic] job is LITERALLY to kick. Horrible analogy, kind of embarrassing.’
It turns out Ninja was the one to be embarrassed though as the Internet piled on and he eventually came up with a pseudo-apology, which is one tweet he didn’t delete:

One thing I learned today is if im curious and unsure of something, is to never ask for the internets opinion because I am getting fucking ROASTED.

To clarify, he’s talking about American football, which does have specialised positions, but it shows a peculiarly ignorant attitude towards athletic sports, for someone that’s trying to ensure esports are afforded the same level of respect amongst mainstream audiences.
