Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is single-player only and out this November – watch the trailer here

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order – no multiplayer for this game
The makers of Apex Legend have unveiled their new Star Wars game, featuring Cameron Monaghan from Gotham and no multiplayer.

Titanfall and Apex Legends developer Respawn Entertainment has been working on a new Star Wars game for years but they’ve never shown anything of it… until now.
Revealed as part of the Star Wars Celebration event in Chicago, the trailer doesn’t feature any real gameplay footage but has apparently be made with real in-game assets – so hopefully it should look very similar in action.
The best news, at least judging by the volume of whooping and hollering from the crowd, is that the game has no multiplayer mode and no microtransactions.

In truth though we didn’t learn a whole lot about the game, other than it’s a third person action title focused around Jedi and the concept of ‘thoughtful combat’.
God Of War III director Stig Asmussen is one of the lead creators so that may give an additional hit as to how the action will work.
It was clear that they didn’t really want to talk about that at the reveal though, and instead focused more on the story.

As already known, the game’s set shortly after the Jedi purge at the end of Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith and you play as a young male Padawan named Cal Kestis – played by Cameron ‘Jerome’ Monaghan from Gotham – who’s been forced to hide out at a breakers’ yard somewhere in the mid-rim (i.e. the middle of nowhere).
The newly formed Empire has Inquisitors (a concept first introduced in the Star Wars: Rebels cartoon series) roaming the galaxy looking for on-the-run Jedi, as well as a new category of Stormtrooper of called the Purgetrooper, one of which you can see Cal fighting with at the end.
His friend in the ship, Cere, is apparently also a former Jedi and it’s implied there’s other Jedi fugitives that have banded together – although Cal’s best friend seems to be his cute little droid BD-1.
Even with the lack of gameplay details it all looks very encouraging and seems to be on course for release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on November 15 this year.

No microtransactions. No loot boxes. And no, we won't be adding them. A single-player Star Wars story for those of you who are ready to become a Jedi. https://t.co/kTheWVBjJc
