BetMGM has completed a troika of Pittsburgh pro sports team sports betting partnerships with the announcement that the sportsbook operator has done a deal with the NHL’s Penguins.

The sportsbook operator already has partnerships with Major League Baseball’s Pittsburgh Pirates and the NFL’s Pittsburgh Steelers.
DraftKings and FanDuel lead the way when talking sportsbook partnerships with pro sports organizations, but BetMGM has carved out some nice terrain for itself, as well.
BetMGM is the official sportsbook partner of the NFL’s Raiders, Cardinals, Lions, Titans, Ravens, Jets, Broncos, Eagles, and Chiefs, as well as the Steelers. They are the official sports betting partner of MLB’s Nationals, Astros, Phillies, Red, Red Sox, Tigers, and the Pirates.
On the NHL side, they have official sports betting partner deals with the Golden Knights, Red Wings, Rangers, Predators, and now, the Penguins. In the NBA, BetMGM is the official sports betting partner of the Knicks, 76ers, and Pistons. In the WNBA, they are the official sports betting partner of the Las Vegas Aces.
Multiyear Deal
“Pittsburgh is home to some of the most iconic sports franchises,” said BetMGM Chief Marketing Officer Casey Hurbis. “This latest collaboration with the Penguins builds on our deep ties across the city and opens new opportunities to engage fans through unforgettable experiences at PPG Paints Arena, and beyond.”
With these types of deals, sportsbooks get to tap into the trust factor that fans have with these respective teams — trust that rubs off on the sportsbook brand.
There are all kinds of in-arena advertising options available, along with opportunities for things like an in-stadium sportsbook lounge for live betting, where the sportsbook would get visibility. The sportsbooks also get online visibility on the team’s digital platforms, and sometimes, access to the organization’s fan data.
With the BetMGM-Penguins deal, BetMGM will get signage and branding throughout PPG Paints Arena, co-branded social media content, exclusive promotions, and premium hospitality assets to build VIP fan experiences. PPG Paints Arena has an in-arena lounge called the Lexus Club.
Storied Franchise

The Penguins are one of the NHL’s more storied franchises, in the league since 1967, captained by one of the greats to ever play, Sidney Crosby. The Penguins have won five Stanley Cups in their history.
BetMGM currently has the Penguins’ Stanley Cup odds this season at +15000.
